How We Handle Outdoor Cable Installation
During a Network Cabling assignment, sometimes the job becomes more difficult than just running a wire and being finished. Installers have to have an open mind to alternative ways to complete the job, Our Cable Guy always come with a several thought out back up plans for every job!
Aerial
Utilizing this option, you do not need to dig up any surfaces and may be the fastest of the options. However, you will need to take into account that a bucket truck will need to be utilized in order to get this done. As it sounds, the cables would be an aerial run from building to building. Some factors that need to be considered is choosing outdoor rated cable to protect it from all weather elements and you have to ensure that the height is ideal for not being snagged on any passing traffic.

What is 721?
If the need for a service ticket ever arises make sure to call 7-2-1. This will allow you to open up an official service ticket and access information that you’ll need to know before continuing on with your assignment.
Every initial service ticket in that calendar year has a charge of $125.00. The upside is that this is a onetime charge for that calendar year, it becomes a real deal if you call in January!
One requirement we have concerning the service tickets is that you must call three business days before anyone breaks ground onsite. This is the needed time to get proper clearance to verify that there are no lines in our work space. There is a hazard that older private lines like sewage may not appear on record so we encourage you to be aware of where you place your excavation site.
After creating your service ticket, you will be given a date when a technician will arrive to indicate any lines that may be in the designated area. Soon after you will be notified from other utility companies of their findings. After receiving the green light in all facets, you can begin your dig!
A key component to this process is planning when you will make the call vs. when you would like the excavation to begin. Service tickets close after ten days from the provided dig date. If this happens then your next course of action will be to reopen the service ticket as is required by the law. While ten days is recommended you can call beyond ten days to provide any needed information that can be used when you reopen your service ticket. The benefit in doing it this way is that it provides you with time to gather any materials or information that you didn’t have on hand during the first call. This time can also be utilized to provide us with any updates you receive on markings on the site.
